A light recipe to be prepared for the summertime: spinach  Catalan style

The weather forecast announces good weather this weekend in Barcelona and reminds us that summer is just around the corner. That means you'll have to take off that oversize coat and start showing palm hearts. If these last months you have cooked little in your student apartment because you did not want to stop trying a single tapa in the bars of the city, it is time to get in shape for the summer .... This week we show you this very easy local recipe, so you can cook for your roommates this weekend.

Healthy and very light recipe of typical local cuisine: Spinach a la catalana. Do not close this post, seriously, we have said spinach, but you will see how they can also be a delicious dish,

For 3 people you will need:

1 kg fresh spinach, you can buy them already washed and cut, much easier!
4 cloves garlic
4 c.s. Of currants
3 c.s. Of pine nuts
Black pepper
Extra virgin olive oil

Put the spinach on the fire in a pot, a little water is more than enough. You will see that they quickly reduce the volume! Once they are boiled the hardest work of the recipe arrives: drain them. The most effective is to squeeze with your hands and to release as much water as possible. But with force !! Let those gym weights be noticed!

 In a large skillet, put a good stream of olive oil and saute slowly and briefly the cloves of garlic rolled, watching that they do not burn. Add the pine nuts and brown them. Stir in the spinach and add the raisins and mix well.
